About Merit

Merit is a new member of a small sorority of women who are proud to be called "Pre-vivors."  With the knowledge of genetic testing escalating her risk of Ovarian Cancer from 1.4% to over 50% and her risk of Breast Cancer from 12% to 87%, she elected to undergo preventative surgeries and lower her risk of those cancers to less than 2%.  In every aspect of her personal and professional life she's willing to do whatever it takes to thrive and her business and personal stories leave audiences knowing they can do the same.

Corporations, associations and professional organizations across the country have benefited from Merit’s personal blend of humor, storytelling, coaching, interactive participatory talks and training workshops. 

Merit has been regularly featured in Selling Power Magazine as an expert advisor.  She has taught hundreds of salespeople who have collectively created millions of dollars in sales as a result of her coaching. 

Merit is an active member of The Sales Association, Vistage International and The National Speakers Association. 

Merit Gest is a dynamic woman who has a knack for finding the lessons in life’s most unusual situations. 

A true adventurer, Merit pulls business lessons from her experiences backpacking around the world, bungee jumping, sky diving, ice climbing, scuba diving and paragliding.  She's likely the only person on the planet who's broken a left foot in Israel and a right leg in Croatia, but somehow she's walked away from both with inspiring messages to share that allow people an opportunity to find their own personal strength.
